GERMAN STATES 1861 HAND PAINTED STAMPS unique miniature artworks created by a French “Timbrophile” in 1861, we see four NASSAU “essays” affixed to a piece, different values, with large numerals and inscribed “NASSAU / Frimarke”. The Duchy of Nassau was annexed by Prussia in 1866.
